The procedure for determining the sex of birds or detecting infectious diseases of birds is as follows:

1. Order collection/sampling cards or plastic feather bags and order form (you can also use your own bags or small paper envelopes). Analysis of samples taken on other than our collection cards will be charged according to the price list as a non-standard sample.
2. After receiving the sampling cards, bags, you will take a biological sample (blood, feathers – about 6 pieces of chest feathers)
3. Send samples by post to our address (Slovgen s.r.o., ILKOVIČOVA 8, 84104 Bratislava, Slovak Republic) together with the completed order form to determine gender or disease (preferably recommended so that the shipment is not lost). Or you can create an ONLINE order that you print and send along with the samples. If you don’t have the option to print, just write the order number on the paper. The procedure for creating an ONLINE order is described below.
4. If you have purchased a VOUCHER, it is necessary to write the voucher number on the order form (top right)
5. Enter your email address on the order form.
6. After receiving the samples, we send the invoice by email or post
7. After receiving the payment to our account and completing the analysis (standard time 10 working days, or 4 working days with extra fee), we send the results by email, post, or both, depending on how you mark on the order form (bottom right – the method of sending the results)

 

We reserve the right to refuse to perform the test if the material is incorrectly collected or damaged during transport.

 

ONLINE ORDER

To place an order through the database, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account. Click My Orders on the right, then select: New Order in the upper right
  2. Section – Samples (describe the animals, sampling, analyses): for new samples chose the species, fill in chip, ring number, date of birth (optional), date of collection, collection by veterinarians (fill in name and Vet. Reg. No.), it is possible to state different owner of the bird….. or select an existing sample
  3. Choose an analyses from the list and add the “Add to basket” button to the order for the first sample
  4. Click Add another sample at the bottom left to place an order for several birds. Proceed in the same way as for the first sample. Continue like this for all birds.
  5. At the bottom right, click the Next Step button – Section Payment & Delivery and complete the following:
  6. Email Notifications: Click to receive notifications of each order status change
  7. Choose your payment method: Bank transfer or Paypal
  8. Results delivery: Electronically (downloading the protocol from the SlovgenDB portal) or also by mail
  9. Invoicing: After completion of all analyses, or Immediately (you gain access to the results after payment continuously after the analysis) – the invoice immediately means after receiving the samples to the laboratory
  10. Note: write here any of your other requests or comments
  11. Click the Continue to summary button, review the order, and click Submit Order
  12. If you do not submit the order, it will remain in progress in your account, and you can return to it and send it later or delete it. Until you send the order, it only remains in your account and the laboratory does not have access to the data.
